About CEPMLP

The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee is the internationally renowned graduate school in the field of international business transactions and natural resources and energy law and policy.

Our interdisciplinary approach to teaching, research and consultancy provides a unique perspective on how governments, business and communities operate, providing the professionals of today with the ability to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

The CEPMLP was awarded the near perfect score of 5 in the latest Research Assessment Exercise, indicating that up to half the research undertaken is of international excellence. With over 40 PhD students, the CEPMLP has one of the largest doctorate programmes contributing to a continual desire to push back the boundaries of knowledge.

Our taught postgraduate degree programme was given the highest ranking by the UK Quality Assurance Agency achieving 'Commendable' in all three areas of assessment: Teaching and Learning; Student Progression; Learning Resources. At the CEPMLP we have a commitment to continually raising standards in the pursuit of academic excellence.
